Love is but a knife

Often times, as we grow up in life, we admire people who loved each other
We admire the way their love that seems perfect
We admire the mutual trust between lover going through tough moments.

Love just looks as simple as I Love you  and you love me
Simple to look at, but complicated to maintain,
Lets take Love as knife and Lovers as left & right hands,

Sometimes the right hand will use the knife to cut,
while the left will hold in position and guide trusting on the right hand,
to cut through and not hurting the left hand. Sometimes its vice versa. When the union is perfect, the knife itself seems to be perfect and flawless. In the beginning both hands will need to adapt to each other's characteristics,
and also in the beginning, both hands will have risk of cutting each other, that sometimes we make mistakes can end up hurting each other.. Sometimes its just pure honest mistakes that hurts and leaves a scar.. The best can be done is just to apologize and let time heal... But will both hands continue to trust and keep cutting through obstacles?

In time, both hands will adapt to each other, understanding the pace and judgement of each other, and minds synchronize being able to cutting through obstacles, making things a whole lot easier and efficient.
As time passes by, the blade of the knife will wear out and turn blunt. During blunt moments , to cut through it takes move effort. Its not that the knife is useless. It's just that both hands will have to work hard to keep the knife sharp again. Both hands will be strained, sometimes even difficult to keep things as sharp as when things started. Refreshing something new, may hurt a little at times but together the knife can be sharpen again. One hand will hold the handle while the other guides,
and then we will switch sides and each hands lead a side. Sharpening takes the effort of both hands for both sides.

For sure, one can never use one hand to cut or sharpen, It's really difficult to work from one side. Movements and judgements will flop. While the other is doing something else. The hand that works alone will eventually lose strength and lose grip.

It takes two hands to maintain a Knife
It takes one mind to perfecting the knife,
and certainly it is the same for Love.
